Seeding Our Neighborhoods: Growing a Grassroots Gardening Movement
Imagine a community where many of our local agricultural needs are being met by local farms and in our home gardens. Become a part of this local, organics movement by transforming your own yard into a beautiful, productive and nourishing edible landscape. We will explore historical and current examples of broad scale local food production and provide a basic toolkit of resources and tips to get you (and your neighbors) started!

Gold In a Wild River: A “Writing Practice” Workshop
Learn how to do "Writing Practice" as taught by Natalie Goldberg in her books Writing Down the Bones and Wild Mind, and at her New Mexico workshops. Writing Practice is an effective technique to help you quiet your inner critic, delve into your unconscious, go deeper into your writing, and increase your creativity. It can be used for various writing purposes: for beginners to learn to write, for a daily warm-up, to improve your writing, to overcome writer's block, or for experienced writers to work out specific issues in their current project. For both beginning and experienced writers. Please bring plenty of paper and pens, and a firm writing surface.
